'The Smoking Cat'

This is a poster for a fictional Left Bank cafe: "The Smoking Cat".

I started it a couple months ago after reading a biography of Tououse-Lautrec which got me in a French poster mood.

The model is, once again, my friend, Violet. (See also "Portrait of Violet" in my gallery.)

I don't keep strict track of how long these take me, and I pick at them a few hours here, a few there. It might be as much as 40-50 hours of work.

The original is 16 x 8 1/2 inches.

All the pencils from 2H to 7B. Smooth Bristol Board.
