Thanks much, Leigh. I spent considerable time on the eyes, and sorted out the gleams with a magnifying glass. I learned how very dark the whites of the eyes actually have to be for the gleams to carry over onto the whites. I had to darken them three times and was surprised to find I needed a 2B to get them down in value where I needed them.
